Kiosk, Mobile & Admin — Visitor and Reception Experience
Guest Registration is a standalone visitor-management solution. It runs on the reception kiosk a visitor faces walking in, on a phone when they've been sent a link ahead, and in an admin console where each client shapes their own reception. Unlike MyDesk's employee-facing products, most people who touch it have never seen it before — a consultant, an interviewee, a contractor — using it cold, at a desk, with a receptionist waiting.
I designed the flow around a single entry point — email or phone, then register, check in, or check out — so nobody picks the "right" flow at a moment they aren't reading the screen. Alongside it I designed the admin layer that lets each client and location re-skin the kiosk without a designer or developer touching it.
One entry point for three actions. Email or phone starts register, check-in, and check-out from the same field, so a visitor never has to work out which flow they’re in — the system decides whether they’re new, expected, or already inside.
The NDA lives in the flow. Legal approval is a checkbox on the registration screen, not a separate document or a clipboard at the desk, so a guest is cleared before they ever reach their host.
Returning visitors skip the form. “Save for next visit” holds a guest’s details for a set window, so a consultant who’s in three days a week checks in with an email and a tap instead of retyping everything.
Check-in ends with a tag, not a dead end. On completion the guest is assigned a visitor tag number and the host is notified — closing the loop between the reception desk and the person being visited.
Reception looks like the client. The admin console white-labels each kiosk per location — background, logo, company name, dark or light — with a live preview, so a new site gets configured without a designer or a developer in the room.
